CEREC® Same-Day Crowns

Why come back a second time?

We’re your local CEREC dentist for single-visit tooth restorations. CEREC is a technology for restoring damaged teeth, and the whole restoration can be completed in one visit to our office.

It makes your teeth stronger and more beautiful, while keeping them looking natural. Every CEREC restoration is metal-free, made from a high-grade ceramic that’s compatible with the natural tissues in your mouth. And with no second appointment, there’s no temporary crown to put up with in between.

Inside the visit

From scan to crown, in one visit

This is the CEREC machine in our office, in 3D. Watch a crown being made, or choose a step to see it again.

After we talk through the procedure and answer your questions, your dentist uses a special 3D imaging camera to take a picture of your tooth. It becomes a precise digital model.
With CEREC’s own software, your restoration is designed around your tooth: its proper form, and the way it works when you bite and chew.
The design goes to our milling machine, where diamond burs carve your crown out of a solid block of ceramic, right here in the office.
Your new crown is bonded to your tooth with state-of-the-art adhesive dentistry. You leave with your finished crown the same day.

Why choose CEREC?

There are many advantages to CEREC over traditional crowns.

Time
CEREC crowns are made in one visit, saving you considerable time away from work and family.
Comfort
There’s no need for a temporary crown, so you avoid the discomfort that can come with one.
A natural look
Strong, tooth-coloured ceramic restores your tooth’s natural strength, beauty and function, and closely matches the makeup of your natural tooth.
Strength
Milled ceramic is stronger than crowns made the traditional way, by layering and pressing, so your smile stays beautiful for years.
